Whether or not the factions featured in the game will eventually band together and fight against Apollyon, or whether one or more of the factions are directly allied with the warlord is not yet known. Add to this that the world of For Honor is still largely strewn with ruins that were created when a massive cataclysm struck.
In the middle of the destruction that occurred Apollyon the warlord sits in the middle of everything sowing as much chaos as possible. Those areas are the Knights’ homeland, and then the players will be fighting through the Viking homeland, as well as the Samurai homeland.Īll of the three key factions that are included in the game are continuously at war attempting to rebuild their various lands and the surrounding areas for their people. Players are said to have to play through three different regions inside the game’s world. The player will first play as the Warden, then they will play as the Raider, and then as a different class of knight known as the Orochi. The story mode will first have players taking on the role of the knights.

In total, the devs said there were more than 89.6 million battle deaths going on inside the game. In August of 2016, the development team announced the first closed beta, which began on September 15. Shortly after 2016 E3, Ubisoft announced a season pass which was going to be including “a year’s worth” of additional content for the game. The new footage showed off one of the fighter classes, the vikings and how those fighters do battle. The game was also shown off and talked about through a brand new video in the 2016 E3 Ubisoft press conference. In July of 2015, there was an Accolades trailer released, then in August of the same year there was yet another announcement trailer and The Toyko Games Show had a third new trailer showing off even more of the battles that take place in For Honor.
The title was shown off with a debut trailer and Ubisoft released other trailers showing off new aspects of the gameplay.
